This was a very powerful little book, it forced me to take a good hard look at ME in my pursuit of Salvation. I thank God for using Mr. James to put it in writing to bless generations that come in search of HIM.
Great book!
I have already started to read it and love it! The book is in great condition for it's age. It's well written and worth the time. Read the Introduction first. It is very good.I normally skip that part but I'm so glad I didn't do that for this book. Few writer catch my interest at the introduction. If you your on the fence whether to get a copy or not. Spend the money you wont regret it.

When Martyn Lloyd Jones' wife came to him with concerns about her own salvation, he gave her this book to guide her. This work should be on every Christian's bookshelf for the good of their own soul and the souls of those who come with questions concerning salvation.
This is a classic primer in seeking after salvation in Christ alone, and it is a wonderful book in all respects. It is deeply scriptural and full of practical godly wisdom that clearly grew from much personal evangelistic and pastoral experience. This is essential reading for believers, both to renew our vigor in continuing to pursue Christ, and also to raise awareness of various potential issues when witnessing to the lost. It is also one of the top books other than the Bible that should be recommended to unbelievers who are seriously inquiring after salvation.
The book originally dates from 1834; I believe this printed edition has slightly updated some of the English compared to the original, so the book is quite easy to read.
